John C. Sullivan, JD

Attorney & Co-Founder

John represents clients in complex appellate and trial court litigation, including class actions, commercial disputes, administrative actions, employment matters, and investigations.

He has argued numerous cases in federal courts of appeals throughout the U.S. and the Texas Supreme Court. Before founding S|L Law, John served as Assistant Solicitor General for the State of Texas. He is also a veteran of one of the world’s largest law firms, where he focused on appellate litigation, agency matters, and government relations.

A summa cum laude graduate of the Notre Dame law school, John earned the Farabaugh Prize for high scholarship in law and was the top student in the Program of Law, Ethics, and Public Policy. He was also the executive editor (deputy editor-in-chief) of the Notre Dame Law Review. After law school, John clerked for Chief Judge Edith H. Jones of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He is also President-Emeritus of the Dallas Chapter of the Federalist Society.
